In a shocking revelation, UnderCover Editor News Agency has uncovered major irregularities and suspected corruption within the Building and Factory Department of MCGM\u2019s P\/North Ward,<\/strong> exposing how unauthorized commercial construction continues to thrive on private land in Malad (West)<\/strong> \u2014 despite multiple notices, FIRs, and court directives.<\/p>\n\n

Following the discovery, BMC\u2019s Building & Factory Department issued RTEMS Reference No. 178056 dated 24.04.2023, under Section 354-A of the MMC Act,<\/strong> directing Khan to halt work immediately. A Speaking Orde<\/strong>r was later issued on 30.11.2023,<\/strong> yet the construction continued unlawfully.
Subsequently, on 05.01.2024,<\/strong> Malvani Police<\/strong> registered an FIR under MRTP Act 1966 Sections 43 and 52<\/strong>, but no demolition action followed.<\/p>\n\n

In October 2024<\/strong>, new illegal construction activity resumed at the same location. BMC once again issued RTEMS Reference No. 193276 dated 16.10.2024 <\/strong>under Section 354-A MMC Act,<\/strong> but no action was taken even after repeated follow-ups.<\/p>\n\n

Shortly after, another round of construction began \u2014 this time involving four commercial galas. A fresh 354-A notice (RTEMS No. 195316 dated 24.02.2025<\/strong>, was issued, and after scrutiny documents were rejected, a Speaking Order<\/strong> dated 25.03.2025<\/strong> was passed. Yet, officials failed to carry out demolition, and the unauthorized structure was completed without interruption.<\/p>\n\n

It is now up to BMC Commissioner Dr. Bhushan Gagrani, DMC Zone-4 Dr. Bhagyashree Kapse-Medium, and Ward Officer Mr. Kundan R. Valvi<\/strong> to explain why repeated notices and FIRs have failed to stop the illegal construction \u2014 and whether strict departmental action will be taken against those responsible.<\/p>\n\n
