Candidates across parties are turning to <strong>digital outreach<\/strong>, with <strong>WhatsApp emerging as the most powerful tool <\/strong>for ward-level voter engagement.<\/p>\n\n<p>While earlier elections saw heavy reliance on platforms like <strong>Facebook and Instagram<\/strong>, the current campaign cycle has marked a clear shift towards WhatsApp for more <strong>direct, personal, and targeted communication.<\/strong> Candidates are creating multiple ward-specific WhatsApp groups, each comprising <strong>300 to 400 voters<\/strong>, carefully selected to include local influencers, housing society representatives, youth volunteers, and community leaders.<\/p>\n\n<p>These groups are being used not only to share <strong>campaign updates, nomination details, and rally schedules<\/strong>, but also to communicate <strong>development<\/strong> <strong>promises <\/strong>and receive real-time feedback from residents.<\/p>\n\n<p>Congress functionary <strong>Brian Miranda<\/strong>, campaigning in Kalina for his wife <strong>Tulip Miranda<\/strong>, who is seeking a second term, said social media \u2014 especially WhatsApp \u2014 has become essential to reaching voters efficiently.
