Mumbai, December 5, 2025:

A minor fire broke out on Friday afternoon at the Kohinoor Industrial Estate on Senapati Bapat Marg in Lower Parel, triggering a quick multi-agency response and precautionary evacuation.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the fire was reported at 4:17 pm from an office located on the third floor of a ground-plus-three-storey commercial structure. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) reached the spot within minutes and declared it a Level-1 (minor) fire at 4:21 pm.

Multiple emergency units—including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, BEST, 108 ambulance, and staff from the local BMC ward office—responded promptly to the incident.

Officials confirmed that the blaze was confined to the office area and was brought under control and fully extinguished by 5:26 pm. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

Fire teams continued post-extinguishing operations to ensure complete cooling and to secure the premises for nearby workers and establishments. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Thane – Cloth Godown Fire in Bhiwandi

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, a massive fire erupted at a cloth godown in Kalher, Bhiwandi.

The blaze was reported at 12:46 am, following which fire teams from the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation rushed to the spot.

The fire was brought under control by 3:30 am, and no injuries were reported. Cooling operations were carried out through the early morning hours.

Kandivali – 28th Floor Residential Building Fire

On Wednesday evening, a fire was reported on the 28th floor of a 36-storey tower, Gokul Concorde, in Kandivali (East).

The incident was reported at 7:54 pm, and several fire tenders and emergency units—including Mumbai Police, Adani Electricity and BMC ward staff—were mobilised.

The blaze was confined to electric wiring, furniture and household material inside the flat and was extinguished after 2.5 hours of firefighting. No injuries were reported.
