Mumbai Shocker: Police Rescue 17 Children Held Hostage at Acting School

  • In a dramatic late-night rescue in Powai, Mumbai Police safely freed 17 children and two adults who were held hostage by a man inside an acting school during an audition. The suspect, identified as Rohit Arya, was armed with an airgun and had threatened to harm the hostages.



    After failed negotiations, police entered the studio through a bathroom window and successfully rescued everyone. Arya was shot during the operation and later succumbed to injuries in the hospital.



    The incident created panic among parents and locals gathered outside the building. Authorities are now investigating Arya’s motive, as he was heard on video making vague threats and claims.
