Mumbai:

The vibrant four-week community festival Malad Masti concluded on a joyful and energetic note, bringing together families, students, artists, and well-known faces from the entertainment industry. Held in the heart of Malad, the festival once again proved to be a platform that blends fitness, culture and community spirit.

Residents from across Mumbai participated enthusiastically, with many arriving early in the mornings to take part in fitness activities, cultural programmes and family-oriented events. Schools played an active role, encouraging children to engage in physical activity and creative expression, making the festival inclusive for all age groups.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Aslam Shaikh expressed gratitude to citizens for their consistent support and participation throughout the four weeks. He highlighted that Malad Masti has grown into a people’s movement that promotes healthy living, cultural awareness and social bonding.

The festival also witnessed the presence of several celebrities, adding glamour to the celebrations. Bigg Boss contestants Nyraa Banerji, Farhana Bhatt and Baseer Ali interacted with the public, while popular singer Vipin Aneja and rapper Shahbaz Badesha entertained the audience. Celebrities praised the initiative for creating a space where families can come together in a positive and meaningful way.

Music emerged as a major highlight, with the launch of a new Sufi track by Danish Sabri and a fresh composition by music directors Shaarib–Toshi, both of which received an enthusiastic response from attendees. The performances added a soulful touch to the festival atmosphere.

With the successful completion of this year’s edition, organisers announced that Malad Masti will return next year with its landmark 10th edition, promising a larger, grander celebration. As the curtains fell, the festival left behind memories of togetherness, joy and a renewed sense of community — reinforcing its place as one of Mumbai’s most loved local cultural events
