It has been widely observed that the longstanding ambition of reducing travel time between Mumbai and Goato just six hours is approaching reality. Analysts have noted that the Mumbai–Goa Expressway, also called the Konkan Expressway (NH 66), is in the final stages of construction. Covering a distance of 466 km, the expressway is expected to cut the current 12–13 hour journey almost in half, promising a faster, smoother, and highly scenic road experience.
